Bringing the signature file into service

There are no specific prerequisites for signature files. In order to bring a signature file into service please follow these steps, starting at the login screen:

  • Choose security method "Signature (File)"
  • Enter your user ID
  • Click on "Next", maybe you receive the advice, that an applet shall be executed. Please accept installation of the applet.
  • An advice, that no signature file is existing , appears. Click on "Send public key".
  • Please choose a drive and a directory, where the signature file shall be saved and click on "Save". You can save the signature file onto every drive or media (also floppy disc, USB stick), which is accessible by your computer.
  • An advice appears, saying that the public key is read from the signature file. Please confirm by clicking on "Next".
  • For security reasons, the signature file is protected by a pin code, which have to be entered each time before accessing the signature file. You are now asked to enter your pin code twice, please enter your new pin code twice and finalize by clicking on "OK".
  • Confirm that the key shall be sent by clicking on "Next".
  • You are now asked to enter your pin code. Please enter your pin code and click on "OK".
  • The confirmation, that the key has been transferred succesfully, is shown. Click on "INI letter".
  • A new window will be opened. Click onto the printer symbol below the VTB logo in order to print the content of the window.
  • Sign the printed document, stamp it - if a stamp is available - and send to your account manager via post or fax.
  • Your account manager will inform you as soon as he has activated your access to MIP VTB SE and you are able to login. You are not able to use MIP VTB SE unless your access has been activated.

Important advices:

  • After having processed the a.m. steps, the signature file is strictly allocated to you. A new allocation is possible only with support of VTB Bank (EUROPE) SE. Please never try to use a signature file, which has not been allocated to you.
  • The pin code is meant to protect the signature file against unauthorized access and will be locked if entered incorrectly several times consecutively. As the pin code of a signature file can not be unlocked, those files have to be replaced. Please contact your account manager.
  • A signature file is - although the content is encrypted - comparatively easy to compromise in comparison with other methods (token, chipcard). Please mind strictly, that noone gets access to the signature file. You may store the signature file on a removable medium (floppy disc, USB stick) in order to be able to remove the signaturefile easily from the system and complicate unauthorized usage.
